Another trip, another flight, another night of packing. Welcome to my world!
At least it’s not an early flight. I hate those. I set the alarm and then wake up at intervals through the night – if I can sleep at all – to check that I haven’t slept through it.
Early enough that I’ll be in a bit of a rush in the morning. Oh well, I’ve got my bags (mostly) packed. The hard part is making sure I’ve got all the cameras and batteries and tablets and chargers and cables to keep everything going once I get there.
And, on that note, my single best piece of travel kit is a power board. Or a power cube. Something like this:
Though of course, mine has Australian outlets, and I couple it with a universal travel adaptor.
So all I need is one power outlet – and you try finding a free power outlet in your average hotel room, usually I have to unplug the lamp or hunt around under the bed – and I then have four outlets and three USB ports to play with.
Barely enough nowadays, and if I’m travelling with an equally geared-up companion, we really need to daisychain anothery, and the room is just Cable City.
Still, it’s better than running out of juice.
What’s your best travel tip?
